Chris Weeks, director of the National Body Repair Association (NBRA), has handed in his notice after five years at the collision repair organisation

Chris Weeks quits as managing director of NBRA

Weeks joined the NBRA (and VBRA Commercial) in 2018 with a mission to improve the accident repair industry and advocate for the interests of bodyshops. During his tenure, he led the organisation through a period of significant growth and success, including the launch of the NBRA Greener Bodyshop Awards, the development of a new code of practice for the industry, standards for HGV repair, and the negotiation of favourable terms with insurers throughout the coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.

"I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished at the NBRA over the past five years," Weeks said. "We have made great strides in improving the quality of accident repair, advocating for the interests of bodyshops, and raising the profile of the industry. I am confident that the NBRA will continue to thrive in the years to come."

Weeks will be leaving the NBRA after his notice to pursue a new opportunity in the private sector.
