All examinations are currently assessed remotely using Teams or a similar online platform

The exam format is made up of an examination board usually consisting of two members and takes 45 minutes and questions asked will cover:

  • General principles of automotive engineer assessing and law
  • Includes insurance principles, vehicle technology, repair issues, rules of evidence, consumer law, garaging and repair, plus arbitration.

NOTE: Candidates are required to have studied the Oral Examination Manual
