The Institute of Traffic Accident Investigators (ITAI) is holding its annual Crash and Research Day on Thursday 9th June 2022 at Darley Moor Motorcycle Track, Ashbourne, Derbyshire
Due the Covid restrictions the last two year's planned events were postponed; however, this June sees the return of our very successful event where you will be able to attend – for free – and view many staged crashes.
The purpose of the day is to allow those involved or have an interest in the investigation of collisions an opportunity to see first-hand a live crash. They can also test their own knowledge of the mechanics involved in a crash and do their own calculations.
In addition to the planned crashes, there will be a number of exhibitors stands and the opportunity for 'audience participation' where attendees will be able to experience the feel of being in a large vehicle/tractor.
The event is open to members and non-members and is free to attend, all we ask is that you make a booking via the ITAI website – this is so we know the numbers who plan to attend, and it also satisfies our insurance company.
For a sample of what you might see, here is a high-speed video of a Ford Mondeo into X-Type Jaguar video that took place at the last event.
Log in using your IAEA account where you will be able to read IAEA updates, update your personal and business details and much, much more.
Look out for our new revised magazine in the first quarter of 2024 - read our back catalogue here for now.
