The widespread adoption of zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) is happening at an even faster rate than previously expected. This uptake is being helped and driven by governmental regulation, technological advancements, and increased environmental consciousness. This is especially true in the UK with the Government's plan to ban the sale of petrol and diesel cars and vans by 2030. But what does this drastic change in the vehicle car parc actually mean for the wider automotive industry and insurers?

The ABI's 2021 Motor Conference will consider the 'Journey of a ZEV.' We will bring together senior stakeholders that impact on each stage of a zero-emission vehicle's lifespan - from vehicle and parts manufacturing, electricity distribution, ownership and insurance, to the repair or retirement of vehicles – to discuss challenges and opportunities faced by the wider industry and society as a whole.
