The official use of Post Nominal letters.

The following member levels are allowed to use official IAEA recognition of post nominal letters after their name:

Associate Member - A.Isnt.AEA

Member (Full) - M.Inst.A.E.A.

Fellow - F.Inst.A.E.A.

The following grade has no right to use official recognition of IAEA post nominal letters after their name.

(A breakdown of grades can be accessed here for definition)

We would also draw your attention to the use of other certifications which do not formulate a post nominal usage.

For example, the Appropriately qualified Person for the categorisation of salvage for motorised vehicles certification (AQP) is not a recognised post nominal and should not be used by members (no matter what grade).

Other institutes will utilise similar guidance to the above, and it is worth noting what post nominals can be utilised

Please be advised that putting letters after your name to which you are not entitled isn't unlawful unless you do it with intent to defraud.
In some circumstances, to falsely hold yourself out to be a member of a certain professional organisation (such as the IAEA), whatever your intention is a specific breach of the code of conduct as set out with the institute of automotive engineer assessors, for which you will be held accountable.
