Attendees were welcomed to the venue with predinner champagne before being escorted into the Harcourt Ballroom for a delicious three-course meal.
Promptly after dinner Tony Simpson, IAEA president, presented the award winners on stage with their plaques and trophies.
The Audatex Award was received by Paul Cowperthwaite who achieved the highest mark in the practical examination; Adrian Clements was awarded the George Bates Award for receiving the highest mark in the oral examination; the Dudley Hewitt Award was taken home by Martin Bates for completing all four exams with the highest marks; and the Jimmy Budd Award went to Jessica Sevellec, Aude Valnet and Craig Holt.
The Jimmy Budd Award candidates were chosen from IAEA members' nominations. The winners receive a scholarship covering learning material and fees for the Institute's four written exams.
After the awards Jason Moseley, Plenham Ltd CEO, took to the stage as the VIP speaker of the evening, where he discussed his personal history with the IAEA, the industry at large, and the future role of the engineer.
Overall, the Awards Dinner Dance proved to be a successful evening filled with great networking opportunities, fantastic food and the chance to honour the award winners.
