Dive In – one month away

Dive In is a global movement in the insurance sector to support the development of inclusive workplace cultures.

Its mission is to enable people to achieve their potential by raising awareness of the business case and promoting positive action for diversity in all its forms. Since its birth in 2015, Dive In has grown exponentially, reaching global heights with events taking place across 32 countries world-wide, attracting more than 10,000 people.

Registration for Dive In, the insurance industry's longstanding festival promoting diversity and inclusion, is open via Dive In website.

Taking place from 21 – 23 September, this year's festival will take on a hybrid format, consisting of both virtual and physical events in 30+ countries.

Building upon the success of last year's virtual festival, which attracted a record-breaking 30,000 participants, the hybrid format allows attendees to join from anywhere in the world, facilitating conversations about diversity and inclusion on a global scale.

With the global pandemic bringing diversity and inclusion into sharp focus, this year's theme of Active Allyship seeks to educate and empower those in positions of privilege to understand how to be active allies and champions for all. Attendees will be urged to turn their commitments into actions when supporting underrepresented groups and take responsibility for creating an inclusive workplace.

Speakers and facilitators confirmed so far include UK Member of Parliament, Jess Phillips and TV Presenter, Anita Kapoor. Full details about events and speakers will be available on the Dive In website and later to re-watch on the Videoflex platform.

Commenting on this year's festival, Jonny Briggs, group head, talent acquisition & diversity & inclusion at Aviva said: "The theme of active allyship is more important than ever. The past few years have seen major breakthroughs in diversity and inclusion and have spurred many important conversations. But this year's festival will focus on acting on these conversations and standing up for what is right, allowing us to accelerate the pace of change. After the ground-breaking global success of last year's virtual Dive In, we look forward to embracing this year's hybrid format and welcoming attendees from all around the world for a programme of insightful and interesting events."
